In many ways, they have led a fashion revolution in India, celebrating new upcoming young designers as well as traditional handicrafts and art of India. Her ethnic traditional and fusion looks will definitely inspire you as you curate your looks for the festive season.

Regal traditional attire

Crafted from silk by artisans of Benaras, this ensemble features intricate phoenix embroidery symbolizing energy and wisdom, with a crane motif representing peace and prosperity. She completed the look with custom bag by re ceremonial and juttis from Elements by Radhika Gupta.

Fusion ethnic saree

Sonam wears a saree ensemble from the Ritu Kumar Couture 2023 collection - Aashnaa, which she paired with the stunning Mahesh Notandass choker and Amrapali Jewels earrings. The Imran jacket in silk velvet and hand twisted zari, is inspired from a mid 20th-century noble courtier’s “Angarkhi”. It’s paired with vertical stripe printed shirt and a classic sari. This shirt is embellished with aari & tikki hand embriodery while the light silk sari is a jamawar print.

Repurposed vintage vibe
She showcased her vintage vibe by embracing vintage embroidery with this outfit from Jigyam. It's crafted from an authentic old Banarasee saree, sparkling with real gold weave, adorned with traditional embroidery, vintage tassels, shells, and pearls which add a unique touch. The dupatta, embroidered with over 60-year-old mochi work from Gujarat, is a testament to exquisite embroidery skills. The jewelry is a journey through time. Each piece in silver is an authentic antique, with payals and bangles that are 80-90 years old. The shoes are handcrafted juttis by Fizzy Goblet.

Embroidered saree celebrating India's forest-scape
The actor wore a sari from Indian designer Pankaj S Chadha's eponymous brand Pankaj S Heritage, which focuses on reviving traditional Indian craftsmanship and embroidery techniques. The sari was from the Jungle-Mahal collection inspired by the Indian ‘Vana Vaibhav’ aka the flora and fauna, birds and animals found in the Indian tropical forest-scape. The Gulkaari sari has a light-catching brown with a green leaf border and wildlife-inspired embroidery throughout. In keeping with the wildlife theme, the actor paired the sari with a leopard print stole by Celine to finish off the look.
