Weddings We Love this Summer

Weddings mark the start of a new chapter in couples' lives of a lifetime of love and respect. For the start of this special chapter, everyone dreams of that perfect day. Every one has different inspiration and ideas as to how they see themselves getting hitched. Here are few ideas that you can add to your moodboards and which will inspire you in planning for your perfect day.

Fashionista Liv Perez's Farmhouse Wedding

Fashion journalist, Liv Perez, first came on the scene in 2017 as a fashion “it girl,” and has since become a go-to voice for those seeking style advice on The Daily Show and her podcast. When it came down to her wedding, all eyes were on what the fashionista would put forward and she definitely delivered.

The wedding was held in the Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds, U.K laying out the rustic, laid-back farmhouse vibe. It was intimate and relaxed, perfect for kicking back and enjoying the ceremony in open fields surrounded by wildflowers. You can plant your own wildflower seeds that blossoms as your love blossoms over the years.

The bride walked down to Lana del Rey’s “Margaret,” while groom made his entrance to Daft Punk’s “Something About Us". The first dance was to Bonnie Raitt’s “Thank You.”

The bride paid homage to British designers and brands she has worked with and loved over the years. Starting with a Chanel gown and changing into a Richard Quinn gown (left pic). For her wedding she wore gorgeous lace Elie Saab gown (middle pic). For the after party she changed into backless 1999 Jean-Louis Scherrer Haute Couture dress (right pic).

Fashion it girl Olivia Palermo's 10th wedding anniversary

One popular Reddit thread titled: “The hold Olivia Palermo’s wedding look had over me….” has been doing the rounds over the years. Her bridal look consisting of cashmere sweater with feathers and shorts with an overlay skirt by Carolina Herrera had been the talk of the town. If you have been remotely interested in fashion, you have heard of Olivia Palermo. She is an American socialite, fashion influencer, entrepreneur, model and television personality.

For her 10th wedding anniversary, she again delivered the wedding inspiration for ages. The wedding was held in Baden-Baden, Germany, her husband's home country. The decor leaned towards florals and celebrated the greens present at the venue (the florals were recycled for each events).

The bride opted for three gorgeous Giambattista Valli gowns for the special occasion, starting with a full princess white gown experience (bottom left), changing to green ruffled gown (middle row right) and opting for lace top skirt set with ruffles for a later party. She later opted for black sequinned Bronx and Banco after-party dress.

Nature wedding Kerala backwaters

The Kerala backwaters provided the gorgeous backdrop for this wedding, which was a blend of couple's rituals and cultures—Tamil Brahmin and North Indian. It celebrated nature and sustainability, with its minimal floral decors as the surroundings provided the perfect canvas.

Guests were served traditional banana leaf sadhya and multi-course meals, along with Kerala-inspired cocktails like Kasargod sangria, as well as cucumber gimlets, watermelon margaritas and desserts like Bekal crème brulee, infused with locally grown cardamom. To keep guests well-hydrated, there was plenty of fresh coconut water being passed around and a special filter coffee station.

The bride wore a mint green palazzo set by Mishru (top right) and opted for classic ivory and gold handwoven Kanjeevaram saree for her wedding (top left) as she rode in to the venue through the backwaters with petals falling on her.

Wedding celebrating Interfaith Tradition

The New York based couple's wedding in Florence, Italy provided inspiration for an elegant and understated celebration, along with a retro Italian aesthetic that highlighted the natural beauty of the surroundings. The events featured pops of pastels, floral arches and Persian rugs laid out in the garden, while the evening functions such as the sangeet and reception saw moody decor, with dimly lit candles and artful centrepieces.

The celebrations showcased the shared love of the inter-faith couple with two wedding ceremonies back-to-back; the pheras as well as a nikah ceremony.

The bride wore a multicoloured pichwai hand-embroidered lehenga by Rahul Mishra, the perfect embroidered pastel dream (See similar).
